Cancer Lifeline Upper Rhymney Valley (CLURV)is a small voluntary organisation based in Bargoed providing a transport service for cancer sufferers in the Rhymney and Sirhowy Valley.
We will transport individual patients and a family member or friend to and from hospital for treatments and appointments. Our clients find that this service relieves the stress of waiting for ambulances, driving and parking or using public transport during what can be very difficult times.
Our service is completely confidential and our drivers are always considerate and friendly. We provide male and female drivers.
We are able to provide information on various disability aids and also arrange alternative therapies and counselling.
Our organisation is self-funding and we rely on donations from clients and other sources to keep us functioning. Our volunteers also arrange various fundraising activities.
